New Leeds store is Snow+Rock’s biggest
Outdoor retail group Snow+Rock has opened a major new store in the centre of Leeds, using the space to present its three brands: Snow+Rock, Runners Need and Cycle Surgery. The new store, which covers more than 1,000 square-metres over three floors, is the company’s biggest.

Olympic athlete Laura Weightman was guest of honour at an official opening ceremony on November 5, presiding over the ribbon-cutting with Snow+Rock chief operating officer, Hamish Mansbridge (see image).

Located on three floors at 11 Albion Place in central Leeds, the store will stock many of the world’s best outdoor and sports brands and provide additional services such as ski boot fitting, a cycle workshop and a dedicated runners’ lab.

Snow+Rock is located on two floors of the new store, one dedicated to outdoor and the other to snow sports with clothing and equipment for all winter activities.

Elsewhere on the three floors, Cycle Surgery will sell products from the leading cycling brands, including clothing, accessories and a comprehensive collection of road, mountain and urban bikes, and Runners Need will offer running products and a Fit Lab to help customers choose the right shoes to suit their needs.

Richard Cotter, chief executive of the Snow+Rock Group, said of the new store: “We’ve worked really hard to make sure that our customers will get the very best products and advice, whether they’re dedicated runners, cyclists or outdoor and winter sports enthusiasts.”

Chief executive of Leeds City Council, Tom Riordan, said the new store would help promote the message of people leading active and healthy lifestyles, building on “the inspiration provided by our successful hosting of the Tour de France Grand Départ this summer”.
