Hi-Tec launches new Paddington boot

Paddington first appeared in stories by Michael Bond in 1958 and the series is ongoing. The eponymous bear is from Peru but makes his way to London, where he is adopted by a local family who name him after the place in which they find him, Paddington Station.
In a story dating from 1964, Paddington receives a pair of rubber boots and Hi-Tec’s launch of its new boot celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the event and the release of a long-awaited Paddington film, even though it will be 2015 before consumers can buy the footwear.
Designed, developed and made in the US, this rubber boot is completely waterproof, the brand said at the time of the launch, and easy to slide on.
It has an injected thermoplastic rubber upper and outsole, and non-cracking material provide to durability and warmth. It also has a contoured EVA footbed to provide comfort and stability.
