James Heal to take testing instruments to ORWM for the first time
13/01/2015
Textile testing instruments from James Heal are designed specifically to ensure winter sports gear performs to the high expectations of end customers. The company seeks to convince winter sports apparel manufacturers and brands that it is critical to use “the highest quality of precision testing instruments” to ensure their garments and equipment live up to exacting standards in terms of design and performance when subjected to the extreme environments to which these garments are exposed.
James Heal business development manager, Lisa Earnshaw, will team up with the company’s sales and service representative ATI (Advanced Testing Instrument) at the event to promote the company’s range of products.
Instruments on show at this exhibition will include Martindale 1309 - the company’s abrasion and pilling tester, which can be used to test abrasion and pilling levels on cycling trousers, walking socks, knitted hats, scarves and gloves, baselayers, collars on sportswear, cords and straps on walking equipment, as well as many other fabrics and leather products.
ElmaTear, an extremely versatile digital tear tester, originally designed for testing textiles but which can also be used to test the strength of a wide array of textile products, including tents and parachutes, will also be on display.
Visitors to the James Heal booth at Outdoor Retailer will also be able to see TruBurst, a pneumatic bursting strength and fatigue tester, which is used to measure the burst strength of the elbows and knees of skiwear and cycling apparel and the stretch and recovery of Lycra items such as swimming costumes and gymwear.
