Dry rate testing instrument added to James Heal range
James Heal has launched a dry rate testing instrument said to accurately replicate the conditions of use, designed to verify that quick-drying fabrics are performing effectively.

The textile testing instruments manufacturer said its new instrument, called ProDry (pictured), offers a user-friendly way of testing the drying rate of performance fabrics, such as those used for base layer garments, running gear, socks and other footwear fabrics.

ProDry forms part of the company’s Performance Testing Range, and is now available in all territories.  Some of the features include the ability to record the temperature for every second of the test, a real-time presentation of results on the test screen as the test takes place and two modes for water dosage (automatic and manual).

The company says ProDry tests to the AATCC Test Method 201 Drying Rate of Fabrics: Heated Plate Method, but can be configured to accommodate bespoke test methods.
