Garmont sets up US division

Italian outdoor footwear brand Garmont has announced that it has opened a US subsidiary company.

Garmont has set up its new US headquarters in New Hampshire and has hired former Merrell product development director, Bill Dodge, to head up the company there.

At the end of 2013, Garmont took the decision to cease making ski boots and to devote itself entirely to technical outdoor footwear. Mr Dodge said the brand was well known and trusted in North America.
