Garmont chooses coconut husk and cork for trade show debut
Italian outdoor brand Garmont has outlined the collections it will be presenting at Milan-based shoe fair Micam, which it will be attending for the first time.

Among them is its Tikal collection (pictured), a trainer with an upper made from a single piece of Italian leather and a cotton-lined coconut fibre insole. It also uses EVA and cork for increased comfort.

Garmont supplies its Rangers boot collection to the South African reserves, to those working to protect wild species from the threat of poaching. The heavy-duty leather boots are also available in a ‘light’ range, using lighterweight materials, for everyday wear.

Micam takes place between September 14 and 17.
