Chinese textile firm expands in Ethiopia

Chinese textile manufacturer Shaoxing Mina has said a $15 million expansion project at a production facility it runs in Ethiopia will create 5,000 new jobs.

Chief executive, Wei Chang Jun, has said that the expansion at the dying and printing facility, which is  in Sebeta in the centre of Ethiopia, should be complete within months and that extensive new equipment has already been imported from Italy and South Korea in anticipation of increased production there.
