US sports brand New Balance has revitalised and reintroduced a shoe it introduced to the sport of tennis in 1979 and which, it says, became a “popular court classic”.

The shoe, the CRT300, still has what New Balance calls “a clean modern look”, but reworking the design to incorporate a propriertary REVlite lightweight sole, new cushioning and added durability now make it suitable for everyday wear, according to the company.
