Prince racquets 20% lighter through Oxeon collaboration
Tennis-focused brand Prince has partnered carbon fibre specialist Oxeon for its new tennis racquets, which it claims are 20% lighter in weight and have improved stiffness.

The TeXtreme Spread Tow fabrics are created with a thinner structure and straighter carbon fibres. By applying this material in the shaft and lower hoop with a 45° orientation, racquet twisting is reduced by 25% without increased weight, said Prince.

Tyler Herring, vice-president of product and marketing at Prince, said: "By adding TeXtreme to the frame of the racquet, we are able to provide superior torsional stability which results in increased power and control. The optimal structure of the TeXtreme carbon fiber material gives mechanical benefits without losing the material characteristics of the fibre for optimal performance.”

Prince makes products in all categories for tennis and squash including racquets, footwear, balls, strings, grips, bags, team apparel, machines and accessories.

TeXtreme has also been used in ice hockey gear, bicycles, table tennis and surf boards.
