Synthetic rubber producer plans expansion

Synthetic rubber manufacturer Dynasol is to expand production, with footwear perhaps the second most important application area after tyres.

A joint venture between Spanish energy company Repsol and Mexican rubber producer Grupo Kuo, Dynasol has been operating since 1999. Now the two joint-venture partners have renewed their commitment to Dynasol and agreed an expansion plan.

Headquartered in Madrid, it will continue to have production facilities in Spain and Mexico and, in addition, will open a new factory in Liaoning, China, in the coming months. Its production capacity will exceed 500,000 tonnes per year.
