Techtextil sees 4.4% growth in visitor numbers

Detlef Braun, one of the directors of organiser Messe Frankfurt, said that an unexpected rail strike, which disrupted public transport in all parts of Germany from the second day onwards, had less impact on visitor numbers than initially expected thanks to the large number of international visitors, who were able to use a shuttle-service to Frankfurt Airport. However, he said a slight decline in the number of domestic visitors was inevitable.
During a tour of the fair, Germany’s parliamentary state secretary at the federal ministry for economic affairs and energy, Brigitte Zypries, had the opportunity to learn about new products along the entire textile value chain.
