Messe to launch technical textile show in Paris
Messe Frankfurt France has launching a trade fair for high-tech fashion fabrics, with the first edition in Paris in September.
Avantex will highlight “intelligent fabrics, materials which combine nanotechnology and cosmetics, finishes and coatings”.
It will be held at Le Bourget, Paris, from 14 to 17 September, alongside Messe Frankfurt France’s textile trade fairs.
“I wanted to bring Avantex’s vision of uniting high-tech companies with fashion product designers and managers to Paris, the capital of fashion. The market is now mature and I am thrilled to be launching Avantex in September,” said Michael Scherpe, CEO of Messe Frankfurt France.
Experts appointed by the Taiwan Textile Federation will help select exhibitors, which must present fabrics which have at least three innovative functions and/or hold unpublished patents.
