IAF to host technology in fashion debate at Texprocess

The International Apparel Federation (IAF) is organising a panel discussion, ‘Making technology work in fashion’, as part of the Texprocess Fair in Frankfurt.

The panellists have been named as Murat Aydin, a board member of IAF (Turkey); Guido Brackelsberg, founder of Setlog Group (Germany); Gunter Veit, president of Veit Group (Germany); Mike Fralix, CEO of [TC] ² (US); Philippe Ribera, software marketing director at Lectra (France); Simon Fernandes, regional director of Alvanon; and Nicholas Smith, a manager in the textile coatings arm of Bayer Material Science.

The discussion will take place in Hall 5.0 C06 on May 5 at 10am and will be moderated by Matthijs Crietee, secretary general of the IAF.

IAF said: “For IAF it is important to provide a platform for industry wide discussions on a global level about themes that are crucial to the continuous improvement of the industry. This panel will tackle such important questions as: ‘How to deal with financing of investments and returns on investment that are spread across the supply chain’ and ‘How to motivate people within companies to make the change’ and ‘What are new business models for the future that help industry profit from the new opportunities offered by technology?’
