IAF to support Turkish textiles industry with Istanbul event

The International Apparel Federation has announced its 31st World Fashion Convention will be held in Istanbul alongside the 8th Istanbul Fashion Conference and Istanbul Fashion Week.

IAF President Rahul Mehta said: "Manufacturers, retailers, brands, solution providers and associations are working together to improve our industry together. That is why we are hosting this year’s convention in Istanbul, close to the bridge that is literally connecting the continents.”

He added IAF, representing more than 20 million employees in over 50 countries, is “happy to use this opportunity to support Turkey’s $30 billion export target by 2023”.

The theme this year is ‘Making it better’, and will focus on investments in local skills, CSR and sustainability, in products, supply chain management and in marketing.

The 31st IAF World Fashion Convention will be held on October 14 and 15.
