28/11/2013
In an effort to foster greater collaboration between the European and US apparel and footwear industries, the International Apparel Federation (IAF) and the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) will host a two-part webinar series on market opportunities.

The webinars will cover trade policies, compliance standards and regulations, including US state regulations and the implications of chemicals directive REACh.  It is open to brands, retailers, wholesalers, factories, testing labs, law firms and investment companies looking to leverage the markets, the bodies said.

On December 16, AAFA will lead a webinar focused on exporting to the US market, including trade policies such as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and the Transpacific Partnership (TTP) as well as compliance standards at national and state levels.

On December 19, the IAF will host a discussion that addresses the European market, including trade policies, product safety and flammability standards, childrenswear, chemical safety and labelling.
