New chemical management tool from AAFA

26/03/2014
The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) has launched a web-based version of its Voluntary Product Environmental Profile (VPEP) tool – a system through which companies can exchange environmental and chemical management information with their partners along the supply chain.

Built in partnership with software solutions provider TEXbase, the tool streamlines data and offers a more efficient way to communicate, said the companies.

TEXbase founder Joe Walkuski said: “With increasing transparency and traceability requirements, VPEP providers can now easily collaborate with manufacturers, brands and retailers, to securely share chemical and environmental information for product development, compliance and sustainability initiatives.”

The AAFA is the political voice of more than 1,000 brands and four million workers.
