‘Industrie 4.0’ driving Texprocess success

Organisers of German trade fair Texprocess have reported a 10% increase in visitors at the April edition compared with the previous edition in 2013.

More than 13,300 from 94 countries, and 7,600 visitors from the concurrent Techtextil visited the fair for its software solutions, processes and technologies for the garment and leather sector.

Organisers suggested the industrial philosophy ‘Industrie 4.0’ drove the success, as it is closely linked with digitalisation. Innovative technologies are the key to integration and speeding-up of shoe and garment manufacturing.

Yvonne Heinen, a marketing director at software-maker Gerber, said: “Texprocess went outstandingly well for us – we were without a pause across the whole four days.”
