Avantex Paris to widen scope
02/12/2016
The show, which is organised by Messe Frankfurt France, was launched in September 2015 and takes place twice a year.
“The February 2017 show will give rise to a series of new features to enhance sourcing for innovative fashion products and services,” said Michael Scherpe, president of Messe Frankfurt France. He described the show as the first in France to “concentrate on the high-tech fashion domain at every stage of the value chain”.
The forthcoming edition of Avantex will include exhibitors from across the whole supply chain, from fibres through to finished products. They will be organised into four categories: Materials & Components; Garments & Accessories; Prototype Studio; and Smart Retail.
There will be a series of lectures, forums, discussions and workshops, as well as a catwalk shoe to allow visitors the chance to experience the latest innovations.
Through partnerships with the Austrian Man-made Fibres Institute, which organises the Dornbirn Congress and Techtera, a French technical textile cluster, the fair will also offer reports on the future of high-tech fashion.
