Avantex to reward high-tech fashion start-ups

Avantex Fashion Pitch aims to reward the best new companies working in the high-tech fashion industry. Prizes will be awarded in four key categories: materials and components; clothing and accessories; prototype studio; and smart retail. There will also be a prize for a start-up making efforts towards a circular economy.
The four category winners will get the opportunity to exhibit at the February 2018 edition of Avantex, while the circular economy prize winner will have promotional video worth €1,200 created for them by Avantex’s partner Wirate.
Avantex will select a shortlist of three start-ups for each category on August 22. These 12 projects will then present their work at the Fashion Pitch on the second day of the show in September, before the winners are chosen.
