New York designer works with Velocio on women’s cycling collection

Based on Velocio’s Bib shorts and lightweight patterned jerseys, the Zinnia collection is offered as a full cycling kit.
Commenting on her contribution, Ms Rose said at the time of the launch: “This was a perfect opportunity to inject a more feminine look into a category that has traditionally taken its style cues from men’s cycling. I wanted the print to be feminine but work on a dark background so that it didn’t feel too much of a departure.”
She said she finds that athletic apparel in general is “often overlooked as a category needing style”.
