Partners extend product usage
US-based performance cycling apparel brand Velocio is reintroducing its Velocio Renewed range with new partners: Tersus Solutions, a cleaning technology and logistics company, and Archive, which offers re-commerce services, to expand the offering and offer customers more trade-in options.

The Velocio Renewed range includes products returned by customers that have been refreshed, repurposed or reconditioned. Some have been worn, others have tears or abrasions that can be repaired, while still others have minor defects and cannot be sold as new, the company says. Tersus Solutions sorts these goods for quality inspection, keeping only the ones that can be reworn. These are cleaned and sanitized using its waterless cleaning system. When needed, they are repaired. They can then be put on sale again, on the Velocio Renewed marketplace, managed by Archive.

“When Velocio first launched Renewed in 2021, we created a way to give a second life to apparel that would have otherwise been recycled,” says Sarah Leishman, Velocio’s general manager. “Now, relaunching with Tersus and Archive, we’re improving all aspects of the process, and launching a trade-in program that will allow us to keep more apparel in use for longer.”
