Mauritius aiming for textile export boost

Mauritius achieved textile export earnings of $170 million in 2014 and the industry there has said it is aiming to boost this in 2015, with expansion of its exports into new markets a priority.

Exports to the US and Europe are of particular interest, according to officials from export promotions agency Enterprise Mauritius.

These comments came after a successful event in Cape Town on June 10 called the Enterprise Mauritius Fashion Show at which companies and designers from Mauritius showcased their work.
