15/07/2015
Japanese knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki will take part in the 2015 Bangladesh Apparel & Safety Exposition, which the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association is to host in the country’s second city, Chittagong, from August 6-8.

Shima Seiki will have on display technology from its SSR series of computerised flat knitting machines, including the SSR112, which the manufacturer has described as “a new industry standard for computerised shaped knitting”. The machine features high productivity with a maximum knitting speed of 1.2 metres per second and digital stitch control.

Also on display will be Shima Seiki’s SDS-ONE APEX3 design system, which it says is at the core of its Total Knitting System concept, with which it aims to equip garment manufacturers with the ability to integrate knit production into “one smooth and efficient workflow, from planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion”.
