Noble’s XT2 anti-odour technology passes bluesign milestone

Noble Biomaterials, manufacturer of antimicrobial and anti-odour technologies for performance fabrics, has received bluesign approval for its XT2 technology.

“Through a comprehensive biocidal product review process, Noble demonstrated that the XT2 product line meets bluesign requirements for durability, adherence, efficacy, and low human toxicity, among other quality and safety performance measures,” the Pennsylvania-based company said on September 1.

Chief executive, Jeff Keane, said the development demonstrates Noble’s “continued commitment to sustainability”.

XT2 employs a proprietary process to provide permanent anti-odour protection that does not wash off or wear out, Noble says, allowing consumers “to play more and stink less”. XT2 fibers are also completely dyeable providing brands with flexibility in design and the freedom to meet end user wants and needs.
