The exhibit opened at the University of Delaware in Wimington on September 25. It includes extensive notes from DuPont’s Joseph Labovsky, a core member of the nylon discovery team.
“We are proud to help sponsor the opening of the exhibit, which allows people to explore the evolution of this material and experience how pervasively it impacts our lives,” said HH Wong, DuPont Performance Polymers Americas director ahead of the opening.
He went on to say that the work Joseph Labovsky did to advise and encourage DuPont researcher Dr Wallace Carothers, recognised as the person who discovered nylon in 1939, as an example of “just how important mentoring is to personal growth and achievement”.
