Sheep set to make their mark on Savile Row
Turf will take the place of tarmac on London’s Savile Row for the week commencing October 5 and sheep will take the place of traffic. The temporary changes to the iconic thoroughfare, historical home to many high-end clothing producers, are part of Wool Week, a wider initiative (sponsored by marketing and research body The Woolmark Company) aimed at reminding consumers of the value and versatility of wool.

Two flocks of sheep, one Bowmont Merino and the other the Exmoor Horn breed, will spend the week grazing all along the Row.

Tailoring houses are partnering with wool fabric mills to showcase key pieces in their bespoke menswear collections for autumn-winter 2015 and members of the public will have access to the intricate processes involved in transforming wool from the fleece through to fabric.
