OS2O claims its new eVent-enabled jacket is Spain’s best

Aragon-based OS2O focuses on apparel for mountaineers, trail runners and trekkers and has own-brand retail stores in five major cities across Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Valencia and Bilbao) as well as an online shop.
Global product manager for eVent, Chad Kelly, said on making the announcement: “OS2O will bring our technical performance story directly to Spanish consumers. We expect that Spanish climbers and mountain enthusiasts will feel and appreciate eVent’s air-permeable difference.”
Examples of eVent-enabled products that OS2O is already offering include its Breathout jacket, which uses eVent’s Dvalpine membrane, configured in a light three-layer laminate. The finished product weighs 300 grammes. The fabric has a waterproof column rating greater or equal to 20,000 millimetres and a moisture vapour transport rating (MVTR) of no less than 28,500 grammes per square-metre. The Breathout Waterproof Jacket features an ergonomic fit, YKK AquaGuard zippers, a helmet compatible hood, reflective logos and a one-hand hem adjustment system.
One member of the OS2O design team, Oswaldo Rivera, said at the time of the announcement that, after “years of research and lots of prototypes”, his company’s design team and sponsored athletes chose eVent as their favoured option. He said he thinks the Breathout is the highest-performing waterproof jacket currently available in the Spanish market.
One of the OS2O sponsored athletes, Pere Rullán, is Spain’s current trail running champion. After field tests with the Breathout jacket, he said he was surprised by the levels of comfort he experienced. He said: “Breathability is so high that I can wear it while running without feeling wet or uncomfortable.”
