Israeli fibre manufacturer Nilit has said research carried out by the department of internal medicine and medical therapy at the University of Pavia in northern Italy provides support for claims it makes for its far infrared ray-enhanced nylon 6.6 fibre, Nilit Innergy.

Researchers carried out a study involving 40 women aged between 18 and 60, with half of the participants wearing Nilit Innergy leggings for eight hours per day for 56 days, and the other half wearing traditional leggings.

The results showed reductions in the buttock and thigh area among the women wearing Nilit’s product, as well as enhanced skin elasticity and smoothness, reduced fat mass, reduced extracellular water, reduced appearance of “orange peel” effect on the skin and of nodules.
