Global Merino promises warmth, plus freedom of movement

Running, skiing and hiking are among the application sectors that technical textile development specialist Global Merino is targeting for a new series of “mini terry” fabrics.

It has developed the fabrics using Eco-soft low-heat-set elastane from Creora in combination with merino wool to give consumers “warmth without weight, plus freedom of movement”. Global Merino has said the applications it has in mind for these fabrics include second-layer garments for runners, skiers, hikers and other sports and outdoor enthusiasts.
