Amer Sports buys into cycling sector

US-based sportswear group Amer Sports Corporation has acquired cycling brand ENVE Composites to “accelerate” its cycling business and to help it expand internationally.

The Arc'teryx and Salomon owner paid $50 million for the brand, which specialises in high-end carbon wheels, components and accessories for road and mountain biking and has annual sales of about $30 million.
