Buyers appreciate Momad’s new textile focus

Organisers of Spanish trade show Momad Metrópolis have said 14,000 visitors attended the first edition focused on textiles and accessories, following the separation of the footwear show this year.

Around 445 direct exhibitors and over 800 brands exhibited their collections in 15,000 net square metres, 18% more space than in February 2015 when the event also included footwear.

Organisers said: “The good participation figures and high attendance confirm an excellent reception by the clothing market of the new single-theme concept for the event.”

Jorge García, from apparel brand Extreme Collection, said: “We've doubled sales compared with other editions - there's an obvious change of heart on the part of customers.”
