Anta claims to have outsold Nike in China last year

Chinese sports footwear brand Anta has announced sales of $1.7 billion in 2015 (more than 11 billion RMB), becoming the first domestic sports brand to achieve annual sales of more than 10 billion RMB.

On announcing the result, Anta went on to say it aims to achieve almost ten times this revenue by 2025.

Furthermore, it said that sales of 40 million pairs of shoes last year put it ahead of Nike in terms of volume of athletic shoes sold in the Chinese market last year.
