Colin Jackson wore the Disc spike when he won gold at the 110m hurdles at the 1993 Word Championships in Stuttgart.
The new IGNITE DISC & evoSPEED DISC Spike use a disc and internal wire system tightened the upper to provide a custom fit.
Usain Bolt said, “Whether on track or during training, every second is important so I’m very pleased that with just a quick turn of the Disc, the spike is secure, comfortable and ready to run.”
Both Adidas and Nike have recently launched shoes that tighten using methods other than the traditional laces.
