Puma sales rise in first quarter

Sportswear company Puma saw an 8.1% increase in sales in the first quarter on a currency-neutral basis, according to the quarterly report from parent company Kering. The first quarter of 2016 saw Puma sales rise to €855.9 million from €825 million.

According to Kerin, Puma had increased sales across all categories. On a currency-neutral basis, footwear sales rose 10%, apparel sales were up 7% and accessories gained 6%.

Kering added that Puma’s sales were strong across all regions with China driving good growth in Asia and solid trends in Western Europe.
