Joma enjoys West Indies World Cup double

Spanish sports brand Joma has said it was delighted at the exposure it received from success in what, for it, is a non-traditional sport at the start of April.

The sport of cricket celebrated a World Cup competition in the shortened T20 form of the game in India, with the men’s and women’s competitions coming to a conclusion in the first weekend of the month.

Winners in both finals were the teams from the West Indies, kitted out in shirts and trousers from Joma. The men beat England in a thrilling finish, with West Indies batsman Carlos Brathwaite snatching victory at the death by hitting the ball out of the park for four consecutive sixes. And the West Indies women’s team beat Australia in their match.

Joma called the teams’ performances “a brilliant double” and said it was enjoying its involvement in cricket at a time when the game is enjoying a growth period.
