Two new contributors to ZDHC

The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Foundation has announced luxury group Kering and down supplier Sustainable Down Source as new contributors to its programme to eliminate discharge of hazardous substances in the apparel and footwear supply chain by 2020.

“By joining the programme, both have committed to widespread implementation of sustainable chemistry, wastewater management, and environmental best practices,” ZDHC said in a statement.

Established in 2011, the Amsterdam-based group now has more than 20 brands and retailers as contributors to its work.
