Australian launches merino-based tennis collection at Rome tournament
Italian sportswear brand Australian has developed a new tennis collection using merino wool. Its sponsored player, Paolo Lorenzi, became the first athlete to wear the new apparel at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia tournament in Rome, which began on May 2.

The Milan-based brand said merino wool’s natural breathability, elasticity and odour resistance were among the attributes that attracted it to the fibre, which it said is “ideal for active sportswear”.

Australian is an official sponsor of the Rome tournament and supplied merino wool polo shirts and sweaters for officials and tournament staff to wear at the event.
