Fiji factory on 24-hour production to help BLK catch up

With the 2016 Australian Rules football season well under way now, Queensland-based sports brand BLK has issued an apology to delays in delivering kits to fans and players.

In mid-May, BLK said its production facility in Fiji was working 24 hours a day to try to catch up on outstanding orders. It said the factory was still being affected by energy shortages and transport disruption following damage caused across Fiji by Cyclone Winston in February.

“Slowly but surely the many weeks of delay are being caught up,” BLK said in a statement, “but unfortunately we are still far away from declaring operation catch-up a success.”
