Thread manufacturer acquires software company

Industrial thread manufacturer Coats has acquired technology provider Fast React Systems, a UK-based company that provides software for improving the operational efficiency of manufacturing companies in apparel and footwear.  It has 76 employees spread across six countries.

Coats chief executive, Paul Forman, said on making the announcement: “We are seeing a growth in demand from our customers for value-added services in operational efficiency so there is a strong synergy between Fast React Systems’ products and our services offering.  We share a footprint of both existing and target customers and together, we can provide an even wider and more attractive product portfolio.”
