Increase in buyers at Pitti Uomo

20/06/2016
The Pitti Uomo exhibition, which took place between June 14 and 17 in Florence, saw a 3% increase in buyers compared to its June 2015 edition. Final buyer attendance was 20,500, of which 8,400 came from outside Italy, and there were over 30,000 visitors in total.

The biggest increases in attendance came from the UK (+18%), China (+14%) and Russia (+10%) but the exhibition organisers said there was also a “resounding” increase from all Eastern European and Baltic countries and good results from Portugal, Australia and Taiwan, amongst others. The number of buyers from France dropped, but this was attributed to the ongoing European Championship tournament in the country and other domestic issues.

There was also record participation from brands with 1,219 present during the event, a 3.5$ increase on the figures from last June.
