Rolf Schmid to step back from Mammut for six months

02/08/2016
The outgoing chief executive of outdoor brand Mammut, Rolf Schmid, has said he will act as a consultant to the Swiss company after stepping down on September 1, but that he will keep his distance for six months.

Speaking to the media team at the ISPO exhibition at the start of August, Mr Schmid said he looks forward to being able to help his successor, Oliver Pabst, but in the background, perhaps working on projects he was unable to find time for before.

However, he made it clear that he would stay away for half a year to give Mr Pabst time to settle in.
