Berlin panel will examine 3D technology’s potential for apparel

Companies represented on the panel will include product lifecycle management and cutting technology providers Gerber Technology and Lectra, 3D simulation specialist Human Solutions, and fit and sizing technology developer Alvanon.
In the build-up to the event, Alvanon’s president and fashion business authority, Ed Gribbin, commented: “We need to break away from outdated processes and put technology to work in ways that enhance product development, improve fit and accelerate speed to market.”
He said 3D technologies have the potential to “reshape the way the industry does business”.
