Change at head of Oerlikon’s fibres division

Swiss textile machinery manufacturer Oerlikon has named Jochen Adler as the new head of development at its manmade fibres division. He will take over from Dr.-Ing Klaus Schäfer on January 1, 2017.

Georg Stauberg, Oerlikon CEO, described Mr Adler as the “natural successor” to Dr Schäfer. He added that Dr Schäfer’s development work has been crucial to establishing the company as a technology leader within the market. 

His replacement was worked in various research and development roles at Oerlikon; he was most recently responsible for the development project management of the Barmag and Neumag brands
