WL Gore announces new global brand strategy leader

Membrane technology developer WL Gore has appointed a new global brand and consumer strategy leader, Achim Ewers zum Rode. He will be responsible for all of the brands under the Gore Fabrics division, including the Gore-Tex brand.

Gore said it had created the position to address “new challenges for the business, such as working in a globalised environment and the digitalisation of consumer behaviour”.
 
Prior to joining Gore, Ewers zum Rode spent six years working at General Motors - Adam Opel AG in Frankfurt, latterly as head of brand experience.
 
Speaking on his appointment, Mr Ewers zum Rode said: “I am excited to join the team at Gore because it is a brand that upholds high quality standards and is well known for its innovative products. As Gore celebrates 40 years as a business, I’m looking forward to working with the brand as it continues to evolve, and helping to steer it through the challenges and successes of its fifth decade.”

He will be based at Gore’s European headquarters in Feldkirchen-Westerham, near Munich.
