Casey Sheahan to become Keen’s new president
Outdoor footwear brand Keen has appointed former Patagonia chief executive Casey Sheahan as its new president. He will succeed Steve Meineke, who retires in mid-November.

Since retiring from Patagonia in 2014, Casey Sheahan has served on several advisory boards across the outdoor industry, including Keen’s. According to the footwear brand, this afforded the new company president “a real-time perspective into the company, strategic initiatives, organisation, and opportunities ahead”.

For his part, he said Keen is the only brand for which he would have considered abandoning his “post-Patagonia fly-fishing sabbatical”. He described the brand as a company that is “authentically disrupting the status quo”.
