Oberalp marketing director joins electronics firm

South Tyrol-based outdoor group Oberalp, the parent company of alpine footwear brand Salewa and of ski-boot brand Dynafit, has lost its marketing director, Reiner Gerstner.

Electronics company TQ-Group has announced that Mr Gerstner became its new chief marketing officer on November 1.

Possibilities for overlap between the outdoor industry and TQ may seem less-than-obvious, but one area Mr Gerstner has already identified is in electronic bikes, for which TQ is already manufacturing high-performance drive systems.
