Rudolf rewarded for eco-friendly water repellent agents
German textile chemicals developer Rudolf has been awarded a Responsible Care Prize from the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) for its creation of more environmentally friendly water repellent agents. It has among six winners selected by the VCI. 

Rudolf won its prize in the Environmental Protection category. Rudolf managing director, Dr Wolfgang Schumann, and Dr Gunther Duschek, vice president of research and development, received the prize on behalf of the company.

It was rewarded for a project called ‘Highly efficient and environmentally friendly water-repellent agents’. Rudolf said the jury appreciated the company’s “pioneering role” in adapting environmentally friendly alternatives to fluorinated polymers for the outdoor industry.
