Australian brand BLK in receivership

Queensland-based sports brand BLK has gone into receivership, Australian media reports.

The brand is best known for providing kits to several teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), including Richmond Tigers, Adelaide Crows and Brisbane Lions. Just a week ago, it signed a three-year deal with St Kilda FC, another AFL side.

'We're currently in the process of gathering the information from the receivers and what this means for our clubs,' said AFL spokesman Patrick Keane.

Earlier this year, BLK was forced to apologise after delays in delivering kits to fans and players. It said at the time that its production facility in Fiji was still being affected by energy shortages and transport disruption following damage caused across Fiji by Cyclone Winston in February.
