Colmar expands its graphene-enhanced collection with new jackets
High-end Italian sports and activewear brand Colmar has partnered with maker of graphene-based products for use in textiles and other markets Directa Plus for the second time. As it did at the start of 2016, Colmar unveiled a new collection of ski jackets containing graphene at ISPO 2017 in Munich.

The new Technologic G+ ski jacket has also been selected as a Gold Winner in the ‘Ski’ category at the 2017 ISPO Awards.

The new collection consists of three ski jackets that have been designed by enhancing some of Colmar’s most successful styles with the inclusion of Directa Plus’s G+ graphene technology. The three jackets are the Technologic G+, the Bormio G+ and the Guaina Zeno G+.

A key benefit of incorporating G+ is that it enables the fabric to act as a filter between the body and the external environment, thereby making it easier for the wearer to maintain a comfortable temperature. Warmth produced by the human body is preserved and distributed evenly in cold climates, yet dispersed in warm climates.

Fabrics treated with Graphene Plus are also electrostatic and bacteriostatic.

Another attraction for Colmar is that Directa Plus’ production process is chemical-free and its graphene-based products have been independently certified as non-toxic and non-cytotoxic.
