Finnish sports group Amer, the parent company of Arc’teryx, Wilson, Salomon and other brands, has announced the acquisition of US-based ski brand Armada.

Amer reported that it valued the deal at $4.1 million, paying $2.5 million of that total in cash. Armada’s annual sales are around $10 million. The ski brand will become part of the Finnish group’s winter sports equipment business unit.

President of the winter sports business unit, Michael Schineis, commented at the time of the announcement that the acquisition of Armada would enable Amer to accelerate its growth, “especially in the US market, where Armada has a solid presence”.
